This Great Western Railway Land Survey Plan, showing the junction at Hatton, is dated 1884-85

This Great Western Railway Land Survey Plan, showing the junction at Hatton, is dated 1884-85. The plan shows the land originally purchased by the Stratford Railway to construct the branch line and includes a later addition purchased by the Great Western Railway from Edward Trafford on 4th May 1894 for the construction of the north curve. No track is shown laid on that route. The south curve is shown as a single track at this time, although a siding can be seen running parallel to this for part of the route. At Hatton Station there is a loop, which served the Stratford Branch trains. This loop is connected to a short siding containing a turntable.
