GWR 4-6-0 Castle class No 4016 'Night of the Golden Fleece' is seen at the head of a down express service during the quadrupling of the line. Originally re-built in October 1925 from a Star class locomotive which carried the same name and running number it was renamed 'The Somerset Light Infantry (Prince Albert's)' in January 1938. As a Castle class locomotive it was first allocated to Stafford Road shed and remained in service until September 1951 when it was withdrawn from Old Oak Common shed.
