Ex-London South Western Railway 4-4-0 class T9 No 288 is seen at the head of an up express made up of Southern rolling stock in September 1926. Built at Nine Elms works in February 1900 it remained in service until December 1960 when it was officially withdrawn from Eastleigh shed in May 1961 to be scrapped at Eastleigh works.
