GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 4-6-0 King class No 6026 'King John' is seen passing the sidings at Lapworth whilst at the head of an up Paddington express on 25th August 1962. Built Swindon works to Lot 267 in July 1930 No 6026 remained in service until September 1962 when it was withdrawn from Old Oak Common shed to be scrapped during November 1963 by Swindon works.
