Rebuilt West Country Class 4-6-2 No 34087 crosses over to the former LNWR lines with a Bournemouth to Coventry football special on 3rd November 1962. Originally built by Eastleigh works in December 1948 in 'air smoothed condition', No 34087 was rebuilt in December 1960 to the form seen above and was to remain in service until May 1968 when it was withdrawn from 70D Eastleigh shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore's of Newport.
