Close up of image 'gwrls2086' showing workmen forming the deck to the new bridge together with adding other fixings to the bow girder. Although it was not structural, insofar as it carried any significant loading, the steel plating was laid across the deck to allow the ballast to be placed on top. This meant that the trackwork floated on top minimising the impact of locomotives passing over the top. The goods train passing to the left of the bow girder is travelling on the LNWR Leamington to Rugby branch. On the left is Engineering Department Van No 14938, an official photograph and description can be seen in image 'misc_equip202'.
