Ex-GWR 2902 Class 4-6-0 No 2933 'Bilbury Court' is seen standing in the road behind the down bay line on 6th September 1952. It is thought the Saint Class locomotive had just worked a down 'J' class goods service or had been employed on pilot duties. By 1952 there were only five members of the class nominally left in service and were sometimes seen on freight duties. The Saint Class locomotive allocated to Leamington in 1952 were regularly rostered on the 9:25 am service to Birmingham, the 3:10 pm Snow Hill to Leamington service followed by the 7:50 pm Leamington to Oxford local service. The following morning it completed a round trip from Oxford to Paddington and then worked the 3:30 pm semi-fast Oxford to Wolverhampton (which had left Paddington as the 1:45 pm Paddington through coaches) before returning to Leamington at the head of the 9:30 pm Snow Hill local passenger service. Built by Swindon works in November 1911, No 2933 remained in service until January 1953 when it was withdrawn from 84D Leamington Spa shed to be scrapped by Swindon works.
