Part of the 1939 OS map showing Leamington's second engine shed located between the LNWR's and GWR lines. The shed had four approach and internal roads to accommodate its allocation of locomotives. Access to the turntable was via either a road from the approach to the shed or via another which ran adjacent to the coaling stage before continuing on to the main line. The sidings adjacent to the LNWR lines are thought to have been used primarily to stable full and empty loco coal wagons. The five sidings adjacent to the GWR main line were used to stable passenger rolling stock with the shortest siding normally being kept free for the shunting engine to use when running around stock.
