GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

British Railways built 4073 Class 4-6-0 No 7029 'Clun Castle' is seen working hard on 'The Dinting Venturer' circa 1980. The former GWR sidings were located to the left of the locomotive whilst the new connection joining the former LNWR Leamington to Coventry line can be seen also on the left. Built by Swindon works to Lot 375 in May 1950, No 7029 was to remain in service until December 1965 when it was withdrawn from 85B Horton Road shed in Gloucester to be preserved.
