GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

GWR 2251 Class 0-6-0 No 2281 is seen coupled with a ROD tender at Leamington shed on 22nd March 1936. The locomotive was fresh from the works having been built by Swindon works in January 1936. The locomotive only lasted another twenty-three years in service being withdrawn in November 1959 from Machynlleth shed to be scrapped over a year later in December 1960 by Swindon works.
