Close up showing the rear elevation of the building located between the LNWR and GWR lines seen in image 'gwrls822'. The building is thought to have been used by the Permanent Way gang to store both materials and tools as well as being used as a mess room. Careful examination will show that around the base of the chimney stack are several firebuckets. its not known when the building was erected, it doesn't appear on the 1886 maps (see image 'gwrls2142') but it does on the 1925 edition map (see image 'gwrls2040').
