GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

British Railways Class 08 0-6-0 D3974 Diesel Shunter stands alongside British Railways built Ivatt 2-6-2T No 41272 and ex-GWR 5101 Class 2-6-2T No 4151 at Leamington shed. Built by Derby works in June 1960, D3974 was to remain in service until August 2005 when it was withdrawn carrying its TOPs number 08806. Built to an LMS design by British Railways at Crewe works in September 1950, No 41272 was to remain in service for a relatively short time being withdrawn in November 1965 from 10G Skipton shed. Ex-GWR 5101 Class 2-6-2T No 4151 was built by Swindon works in June 1947 and it too had a relatively short working life being withdrawn from service in April 1965 from 2C Stourbridge shed.
