Aerial photograph of the short link line between the Great Western Railway's main line and the L&NWR line to Rugby in 1934. Leamington South Junction Signal Box can be seen adjacent to the Great Western Railway's junction. This had opened just prior to the opening of the junction to the link line on 10th July 1908. The signal box design is a standard Great Western Railway type 7D, with three windows in the brick built lock room on the ground floor. The operating floor above was 29 feet long by 12 feet wide and housed thirty-four levers. The signal box had a hipped slate roof with torpedo vents on the ridge and a stovepipe chimney.
