GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Two Great Western Railway internal letters sent in August 1911 to Mr SF Johnson (Birmingham Divisional Superintendent based at Snow Hill Station).

The first dated 11th August is from Inspector CP Rodgers at Leamington regarding the need to provide an additional Yard Lamp for the head-shunt at the far end of the new carriage sidings.

The second dated 24th August is from Mr WJ Dunsdon at the Divisional Engineering Department at Wolverhampton dealing the cost of this additional Yard Lamp. In later correspondence Mr WJ Dunsdon confirmed that this additional Yard Lamp would be installed and connected to the gas distribution pipework at the carriage sidings during week commencing Monday 11th December 1911.
