An unidentified 0-6-0ST's ability to shunt in the up bay is extremely limited whilst a rake of local coaching stock, thought to be for Birmingham, stands at the end of the platform. John Copsey states "little is known concerning the use of the bay at this time, but it was conveniently placed for local arrivals from Birmingham, or perhaps for departures for the south, and may have been used when the up platform was busy, or ear-marked for another service". 10th September 1911
