An impressive view of the new station with the facade, constructed out of Portland stone, glistening in the bright sunshine. The new passenger subway entrance is via the booking hall accessed via the doorway behind the car on the left. The original passenger subway is seen on the right converted to a public pathway having now replaced the old passenger footbridge located at the Birmingham end of the platforms which spanned both the LNWR and GWR lines.
