This view shows how the up passenger train could easily reverse back from platform 2 to collect any such traffic. A goods train with empty Private Owner wagons can be seen to be held at the down signal on platform 2. In the yard adjacent to the tramway offices are the two sidings installed prior to 1919 to accommodate the coal merchants.
