Ex-GWR 2-6-2T No 6373 is seen at the head of the 3.10pm local passenger working to Henley in Arden on 6th June 1957

Ex-GWR 2-6-2T No 4173 is seen at the head of the 3.10pm local passenger working to Henley in Arden on 6th June 1957. On the left is ex-GWR 2-6-2T No 4112 running bunker first on the 3.20pm to Leamington Spa. Both locomotives were 51xx class locomotives with No 4173 being built at Swindon works to Lot 369 in October 1949 and withdrawn from Stourbridge Junction shed on December 1964 to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Great Bridge in April 1965. Class mate No 4112 was rebuilt as a class member at Swindon works to Lot 292 in October 1936 and remained in service until September 1962 when it was withdrawn from Banbury shed to be scrapped during December 1963 again by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
