Site plan showing the two lower sheds in relation to the main line to Snow Hill and Park Street and Allison Street which provided access to both sheds

Site plan showing the two lower sheds in relation to the main line to Snow Hill and Park Street and Allison Street which provided access to both sheds. The small diagram on the left shows the location of Moor Street station to Snow Hill and their position related to the 'North'. The Wagon Hoist to shed 'A' is seen on the right adjacent to the traverser in the lower portion of the plan. Its presumed that because the shed was smaller and because the goods it catered for were metal there was only need for one Wagon Hoist. Below the Wagon Hoist on the plan is the transformer centre for the electrical equipment. A single siding can be seen at the very top of the plan with capstans provided to move wagons along its length. The office for the staff to hold their records of goods in and out is located in the top platform on the right. Another siding can be seen in the bottom portion of the plan and is set into the unloading platform. The Wagon Hoist raising and lowering wagons from the goods yard above can be seen in the top right hand corner of the plan. Shed 'B' was equipped with different types of cranes including two fixed platform cranes on the unloading platforms seen in the bottom section of the plan. In the section above the two platforms the columns supporting the travelling crane that ran the length of the shed can be seen. On the left, at the Park Street end of the shed is the traverser that moved wagons from each siding to the Wagon Hoist for lifting to the surface level goods yard. A second Wagon Hoist was provided via the siding seen, in the bottom portion of the plan, with three sidings providing storage running at right-angles to the main siding accessed via wagon turntables.
