GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Under the ferroconcrete roof was the fruit wharf of shed B warehouse, where crates of produce were unloaded and stacked on the wooden boarded platform awaiting distribution in the city. In the background can be seen the banana ripening rooms of Francis Nicholls Ltd. This photograph was taken on 14th November 1969 when the last consignment of bananas were delivered.
