GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Moor Street Station: gwrms2737
A colour view from the cab of 350hp diesel shunter of the
wagon hoists seen in British Railways Western Region days. The erection of the
Rotunda in the background which was opened in 1965 provides an indication of
the date of the photograph. This building, some 81 metres or 266 ft tall, is
now listed as Grade II which means that it will be an ever present feature on
the horizon of Birmingham for many years to come.
