GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

Ex-GWR 0-6-0PT No 9798 is seen crossing slowly from the down relief line to the down main line before it tackles the 1 in 45 rise inside the slippy rails of Snow Hill tunnel. A member of the 8750 class, No 9798 was built by Swindon works to Lot 299 in September 1936 and remained in service until October 1964 when it was withdrawn from 88C Barry shed to be scrapped by G Cohen of Morriston.
