There were two buildings, the nearest structure accommodating the general waiting room and the second accommodating a ladies waiting room with toilets accessed internally and a gentlemen's toilet accessed from outside via a door on the gable end. Part of the vanity screen which hid the inside of the toilet from external view can just be seen. On the nearest gable a vending machine can be seen. These heavy duty machines were very common on stations (and elsewhere) and dispensed such goods as chocolate and cigarettes.
