Warship D817 'Foxhound' is seen between Olton and Solihull on the 7:30am Shrewsbury to Paddington service on 27th August 1962. The Western Region's 2200hp diesel hydraulics Warship class were not common on the Birmingham route, the more powerful Western class diesel hydraulics class being preferred by the operating department. This view of 'Foxhound' shows the locomotive in its original livery prior to the introduction of the yellow warning panel on the front.
