An unidentified Great Western Railway 2-6-2T 3150 class Prairie Tank hauls a diagram E94 toplight corridor brake composite coach and another coach on a section of the recently quadrupled track during the bridge testing. The transcribed article about the bridge tests in the Railway Magazine (June 1934) stated that a Brake Third coach and a Saloon coach accompanied the locomotives. Three coaches to diagram E94 were built on carriage lot 1200 in October and November 1912. The coaches were 57 feet long by 9 feet wide, with two lavatories. One lavatory was located between the two first class compartments and four third class compartments. There was also a combined Guard / luggage compartment at the end with double doors on both sides. The coach running numbers were; 7581, 7582 and 7583. During 1912, several lots, consisting only a few coaches each, were built as replacements for coaches that had been destroyed by a fire in the Swindon Paintshops during the previous year. All three coaches survived in to nationalisation, being withdrawn from service between July 1957 and August 1958.
