Ex-GWR 49xx Class 4-6-0 No 5971 'Merevale Hall' passes under the former LMS line with a down express on 29th June 1964. Built at Swindon works to Lot 304 in April 1937, No 5971 was to remain in service until December 1965 when, as the last surviving member of the class, it was withdrawn from 82E Barrow Road shed in Bristol.
