GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

GWR 4-6-0 No 6006 'King George I' is seen at the head of the 5 10pm Paddington to Wolverhampton express as it enters Solihull station. Built at Swindon Works to Lot 243 in February 1928 No 6006 remained in service until it was the first King to be withdrawn in February 1962 from Stafford Road shed Wolverhampton to be scrapped in March 1962 at Swindon Works. 20 June 1961
