GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

A 1951 view taken from the Relief island platforms and looking towards Snow Hill showing the Main platforms with the booking office behind with little change evident since the station was built just before the war. The platforms are not as neat and tidy as grass is growing between the paved platform edgings which were previously dressed with stone chippings. Despite this, the trackwork still looks in good condition and there is little evidence of litter when compared with the railways of today.
