GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Hatton

Ex-GWR Diesel Railcar No W26 W is seen approaching the down platform with a local passenger service from Leamington Spa in 1957. During this period Leamington had three Diesel Railcars for passenger use (Nos W22 W, W26 W and W29 W) to work the two diagrams plus a parcels version (No W17 W) for working the 6:00am service to Birmingham, Dudley and Wolverhampton. The passenger turns were mainly between Leamington Spa and Stratford on Avon, although a couple of the morning turns were extended to Honeybourne with a Brake Second attached. The coaling stage can be seen to the right of the Diesel Railcar whilst the shed is obscured behind the Railcar.
