View from the island platform of the waiting room entrance, station master's office, exit and ticket collector's booth on platform one. The ticket collector's booth shows the former insignia of the GWR on the side. The booking hall, which also doubled up as the exit from the station, was set back from the frontage of the waiting room and stationmaster's office. The entrance to the stationmaster's office was via a door to the side of the office facing the ticket collector's booth. At the time of writing - 2010 - the stationmaster's office is the station's refreshment room, and subject to criticism in the local press.
