Ex-GWR 4-6-0 Hall class No 4980 'Wrottesley Hall' is seen
passing ex-GWR 2-6-2T 'Large Prairie' No 5163 whilst working the 10:35am from
Paignton to Wolverhampton service on 16th August 1958. The Prairie is standing
in the up refuge siding adjacent to Stratford on Avon West Signal Box and when
the express has passed will buffer up to the rear coach to provide assistance
to Wilmecote. The Hall was built at Swindon works to Lot 254 in February 1930
and remained in service until July 1963 when it was withdrawn from 82C Swindon

built by Swindon works just a few months later in November 1930 to Lot 259 but
