GWR Route: Stratford on Avon to Hatton

Ex-GWR 2-8-0 No 2879 stands in front of the shed adjacent to the water column on a summer's evening on 16th August 1959. A member of the 28xx class, No 2879 was built by Swindon works in March 1919 and it was to remain in service until August 1964 when it was withdrawn from 81C Southall shed to be scrapped by J Cashmore of Newport.
