GWR Route: Stratford Upon Avon to Hatton

Looking northwards along the track to Bearley Junction with the island platform on the left and the down platform on the right circa 1918. The cleanliness of the track and the smoke and soot on the passenger footbridge shows that a number of years have passed since the station was rebuilt in 1910. This photograph has appeared in publications but has always been printed in reverse, that is with the man on the platform being on the left not on the right as above. To the right of the workman on the down platform can be seen the square shape of the water tank which was on top of the coaling stage which itself sited just in front of the locomotive shed.
