GWR Route: Moreton-in-Marsh to Shipston-on-Stour

This close up of image 'gwrss535' shows the method of releasing the locomotive after it had brought the train from Moreton-in-Marsh. The train would uncouple from the coaches and draw forward past the points then the points would be set to allow the locomotive to run around the train. The two sets of points were controlled from the south ground frame located at the end of the platform as seen in image 'gwrss607'. The rodding to the points on the right can be seen running along the front of the platform and then across to the points.
