A side view of the forty-one feet long by sixteen feet wide engine shed which served the branch line for approximately thirty years. SC Jenkins and RS Carpenter state in their book that the engine shed was originally going to be built at Moreton-in-Marsh where the water was superior to Shipston-on-Stour's supply. However a well 17 feet deep was dug outside the front of the shed on the north side of the track, water being raised by a steam elevator in the well, powered by steam from the branch engine. This was achieved by supplying steam via a pipe that replaced one of the locomotive's whistles.
