British Railways built 2-6-0 No 46504 is seen wearing
Brunswick Green livery whilst it passes through the up main platform on an
engineer's train carrying ballast on 19th April 1963. Although an LMS design it
was built by British Railways at Swindon works in November 1952 until their own
version of the design was commissioned. Although relatively new No 46504 was
withdrawn in October 1966 from Newton Heath shed in Manchester for scrapping
during February 1967 by J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
