An internal view of one of Tyseley shed's two roundhouses with a variety of ex-GWR locomotives on display on 22nd November 1964. The locomotives on display around the turntable are, from left to right, 2-6-2T 'Large Prairie' No 4179, 0-6-0PT 'Pannier Tank' No 3770, 0-6-2T No 5684, 0-6-0PT 'Pannier Tank' No 4635 and 0-6-2T No 5684. Being built in December 1949 No 4179 should strictly be described as British Railways built to the GWR 51xx design it remained in service until February 1965 when it was withdrawn from Tyseley shed to be scrapped in October 1965 by G Cohen of Kingsbury.

The two 57xx class of Pannier Tanks No 3770 and No 4635 were built respectively in May 1938 and December 1942, both at Swindon works. They were both withdrawn from Tyseley shed with No 3770 being first in April 1965 to be scrapped in October 1965 by G Cohen of Kingsbury and No 4635 in July 1966 to be scrapped in November 1966 by Garnham, Arris & Elton of Chesterfield. The pair of 0-6-2Ts were built to the same Lot No 235 and built in the same month, October 1926, at Swindon works. Remarkably they were also withdrawn from Tyseley shed in the same month too, in July 1965 and were scrapped in the same month, October 1965 by the same company, J Cashmore of Great Bridge.
