Tyseley Shed: gwrt2394

Ex-GWR 2-6-2T No 4555, in newly refurbished GWR livery, and ex-GWR 0-6-2T No 5658 are seen with other locomotives on 31st January 1965. On the left is the snow plough based at Tyseley shed. Built at Swindon works in September 1924 to a G Churchward design, No 4555 was a member of the 45xx Class better known as a 'Small Prairie', and was to remain in service until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from 83D Laira shed to ultimately be preserved.
