GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line
Tyseley Shed: gwrt2407
An unidentified GWR locomotive is seen standing at Platform
3 at the head of a local down train in July 1911. The platforms were built with
a brick face and with two rows of paving slabs edging the platform with a
gravel infill finish being laid between the two platform edges. Lighting is via
gas lampposts and lanterns under the canopies. The station's nameboard reads
'Tyseley Junction' and beneath it are listed the a number of station and routes
that the station served. On the right a substantial number of Permanent Way
workmen can be seen working on the approach roads to Tyseley's carriage
sidings.
