GWR 4-6-0 Saint class No 2979 'Quentin Durwood' is seen standing on shed prepared ready for the for following day's service circa 1933. Built at Swindon works in April 1905 No 2979 remained in service until January 1951 when it was withdrawn from Ebbw Junction shed in Newport to be scrapped during February 1951 at Swindon works.
