Tyseley Shed: gwrt335
GWR 4-6-0 Castle class No 111 'Viscount Churchill' is seen
standing in steam just after being coaled and watered in June 1937. This
locomotive was originally built as the GWR's only 4-6-2 pacific 'The Great
Bear' and was rebuilt at Swindon works in September 1924 and remained in
service until July 1953 when it was withdrawn from Laira shed in Plymouth to be
scrapped circa-1953 at Swindon works.
