GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton
Warwick Station: gwrw942
An unidentified GWR 0-6-0 'Armstrong Goods' is seen at the
head of a short down cattle train most probably en-route to Bordesley Junction
cattle wharf circa 1928. Most of the surviving members of the Armstring Goods
Class were by the late 1920s working in the Wolverhampton Division. The GWR had
a large cattle wharf at Bordesley Junction helping
to feed the needs of the population of Birmingham.
