Whitlocks End Halt: gwrwe1120

Looking south towards Grimes Hill & Wythall from Tilehouse Lane bridge as a three-car DMU service is seen departing for Birmingham Moor Street. The 1947 timetable shown in Mike Hitches book Warwickshire Railways shows no scheduled stops at Whitlocks End Halt. Passengers wanting to board a train would have to stop the train as they would a bus - by making their presence known to the driver who presumably had to prepare to stop each time it passed through the Halt. Passengers wishing to alight at the Halt would need to inform the guard when they boarded the train.
