GWR Route: North Warwickshire Line

Looking south towards Stratford upon Avon after the first decade of the line and platform being open. The photograph was from a postcard which is dated October 1917 clearly indicating that it was taken before that date. On the footbridge opposite both sets of steps are enamel Lipton Tea adverts which have been fixed to the sides of the structure. The footbridge extended to the right to join a pathway which climbed to the top of the embankment before turning left to join Broad Lane which ran across the top of the tunnel.
