Looking towards Stratford upon Avon showing the general layout of the Halt and the position of the two ramps from the footpaths running along the top of each embankment. The platforms were 300 feet long and were constructed with railway sleepers acting as the platform retaining wall with sections of rail spaced vertically to retain the sleepers. The hard standing reflected the basic nature of the Halt being constructed with compacted gravel. The shelters were timber framed and clad and were very reminiscent of rural bus shelters which is not a surprise as the big four railway companies owned many bus companies too. Passengers using the sloping diagonal paths were originally protected by timber handrails on timber posts to either side of the paths. On the down side as the handrails became rotten they were removed leaving only the vertical timber posts in place whilst on the up side they remained for much longer and were protected by being painted white.
