GWR Route: Banbury to Wolverhampton

GWR 4-6-0 Saint class No 2916 'Saint Benedict' is seen with the former eight-wheeled 'Great Bear' tender at the head of an up local Birmingham Snow Hill to Leamington passenger train. Built at Swindon works in August 1907 it remained in service until July 1948 when it was withdrawn from Tyseley shed to be scrapped by Swindon works shortly afterwards.
