Ex-Great Central 4-4-0 Class D10 No 5432 'Sir Edward Fraser' passes through the station on an up express circa 1928. Built in October 1913 as Great Central No 1094 by Gorton works, No 5432 was allocated this number in July 1924 and then allocated No 2653 in 1946. Following nationalisation in 1948 British Railways renumbered in as No 62653 which it carried until it was withdrawn from 9G Northwich shed in October 1955 .
