Ex-ROD 2-8-0 Class O4/8 No 63853 approaches Rugby Signal Box on a down goods service on 29th May 1950. Built by the North British Locomotive Company in June 1919 as ROD No 1978 it was numbered at grouping as LNER No 6292 and then in 1946 as No 3853 before being withdrawn in November 1963 under British Railways ownership as No 63858 from Langwith Junction shed.
