View looking along Rugby Central's island platform towards Leicester with the goods yard seen on the left. The photograph was initially dated as being circa 1950 but as John Larkin writes 'I believe that it is much earlier than that. The left hand chimney stack on the booking hall was struck by lightning in the 1940s and demolished'. The original bench seating is still evident with its cast iron support frames and timber planking with the station name formed within the top slat.
