LNER Route: Leicester to Marylebone

Looking towards Leicester from the London end of the island platform with the goods shed on the left. Other than the British Railways station sign 'Rugby Central', red background with cream lettering, and the concrete posts supporting strip lighting with the station's name on each cover, there is little evidence of British Railways having made its mark on the former Great Central station. The white box seen located beneath the station sign and also at two other points along the platform are for flower beds.
